Yes, it's true — The Love Hypothesis is being developed as a feature film, and the casting reveal just went and sent the fans (like myself) into complete pandemonium.

Now that Amazon MGM Studios and MRC are involved, though, I feel like I can already catch the sparks flying around this adaptation in theaters soon.

And now let's discuss chemistry, because rom-com casting is everything. Lili Reinhart can do emotionally grounded performance (Riverdale, Chemical Hearts), and she also has that certain je ne sais quoi of being vulnerable and fiery, just what Olive needs. There’s no official release date yet, but Filming is expected to begin soon. Sometime in late 2025, I’m hoping we’ll see it hit Amazon Prime Video with big studios and major stars on board. Watching Bateman’s past work, and counting down the days until then, I’ll be re-reading the book (again).

With Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman as the leads, and a production team that appears to be authentically passionate about the original novel, everything points to the movie doing the novel justice in charm, humor, and emotional pull.
